Exploring minimalism and form in the 3 Neck collection.
The 3 Neck collection represents our most minimalist work to date. These pieces strip ceramic form down to essential geometry while introducing an element of playful multiplicity that challenges conventional notions of the vessel.
The concept began with a simple question: what happens when we multiply the traditional single opening of a vase? The answer led us to explore how multiple apertures change the object's function, visual rhythm, and spatial presence.
Form Follows Function
Despite their sculptural appearance, the 3 Neck pieces remain fully functional vessels. Each opening can hold stems independently, allowing for creative floral arrangements that would be impossible with a traditional single-opening vase. This practical consideration informed every aspect of the design.
The proportions of each piece were refined over dozens of prototypes. The spacing between necks, their heights relative to each other, the angle at which they emerge from the body—each detail was carefully calibrated to achieve visual harmony.
White as Statement
The pristine white glaze of the 3 Neck collection is itself a design statement. In a world of visual noise, white offers respite. These pieces create moments of calm, their pure surfaces reflecting and responding to surrounding light and color.
Achieving this particular white required extensive glaze testing. The final formula produces a surface that is neither cold nor clinical but warm and inviting, with subtle depth that rewards close inspection.
